WMMA SPRING FORAY
The WMMAMemorial Day Foray will be held in the Nine Mile Valley west of Missoula. The Nine Mile
Area had several fires last summer and should provide good habitat for morel mushrooms. Total number
of acres burned was somewhere around 18,000. There is good access to the burned areas by way of forest
service roads. Camping will be available at Kreis Pond. The Nine Mile Valley is famous for its Historic
Ranger Station. The Ranger Station is open for tours daily. Nine Mile Valley is also home to Garden City
Fungi. Glen Babcock and Wendy Garrett will be hosting the foray and will be offering tours of the farm.
A map and location information will be sent to all WMMA members in May.
