This lion's mane fungus is sprouting from a bag culture at Fungi Perfecti's grow room.

 

Sarcodon fuscoindicum is an unusual find in Montana, sometimes in the western parts, but this one comes from northern Idaho. Its dark purple-blue-brown color is unique.
