Brazil 2005

Photos from Jatoba, in the state of Bahia, Brazil. This tiny private preserve of Atlantic rainforest harbors remnant tree and fungi species lost in much of eastern Brazil. Agroforestry projects such as these seek to restore remnants of the Atlantic rainforest by fostering native ecosystems and developing ways to produce income from nontimber forest products, from mushrooms to cacao, banana, Inge, and more.
